Brooklyn Gun Buy Back Program Yields 115 Weapons

The NYPD’s program recovered an Archangel 22 cal. and a sawed-off shotgun.

Over 100 guns were taken off the streets Saturday, as Brooklyn residents sold them to the NYPD.

According to the police, 115 weapons were surrendered during the Brooklyn Gun Buy Back event held today at the Christian Cultural Center on Flatlands Avenue and Avenue N.

The NYPD said that some of the more “notable” firearms surrendered include an Archangel 22 cal. assault rifle and seven defaced handguns.

See the list below for a full breakdown of the guns turned in during the event:

  • 56 revolvers
  • 33 semi-automatics
  • 1 assault rifle
  • 9 rifles
  • 5 shotguns (1 was sawed-off)
  • 11 others (BBs, starters, zip guns, etc.)

Cops said that over 8,200 firearms have been surrendered since the program's inception.
