Update: Stabbing on Myrtle Avenue

First responders at scene of incident, which occurred at around 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Update: 4:43 p.m.: According to police, both men are in stable condition.

The man taken to Kings County Hospital was slashed; the other was stabbed in the torso, police said.

Update, 3:20 p.m.: FDNY said two men were transported to area hospitals with stab wounds from the scene of Wednesday's incident at Myrtle Avenue and Duffield Street.

One of the men was transported in critical condition to Kings County Hospital, fire officials said. The other was taken in serious condition to Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan.

Both men were described as being in their 20s or 30s.

At the scene, a striped shirt stained with what appeared to be blood lay in the middle of the sealed-off intersection at Myrtle and Duffield adjacent to the MetroTech complex.

Police have not yet responded to a request for information regarding any suspects or arrests in connection with the incident.

At least one person was stabbed on Myrtle Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn on Wednesday afternoon, according to the New York Fire Department.

As of 1:15 p.m., first responders were still at the scene, FDNY said.

Fire officials said the incident occurred on Myrtle Avenue near Duffield Street at around 1 p.m.
