Brooklyn Creative Collaborations

Local creative professionals work on a creative collaboration in Brooklyn.

Brooklyn has a wealth of creative professionals. It's one of the reasons why I love living here. With the Navy Yard and Steiner Studios on one side and Pratt on another, we are surrounded by creative professionals and people learning how to be creative professionals. Just walking down the street can be an inspiration. And in fact, The Sartorialist has made the trek out to Fort Greene to photo people for his blog more then once. And I can see why. As a designer, I'm also inspired by the people and the stuff going on in our neighborhood.

I've working on a project, a photo shoot collabortation, that will take place in Fort Greene. So far most of our team has been culled together from our neighborhood and our neighboring neighborhoods. One of the coolest parts about getting to work with other creatives, is getting to see how every one's input helps to tell the story and move it forward. And by keeping our photo shoot in Fort Greene, we also get to keep our story, a Brooklyn story.

Another reason I love living in Brooklyn is because the neighborhoods in Brooklyn, feel like neighorborhoods. It feels like a community. A creative community.
