- Starting today, July 4th - Sunday, July 7th, the 42nd Annual International African Arts Festival (IAAF) will take place in Fort Greene's Commodore Barry Park. CAMPAIGN UPDATE - I'm scheduled to discuss my campaign and candidacy for the New York City Council - 35th district tomorrow on public radio. Please stay tuned for more information.
- Over the past several days and as many of you know, a Negative Push Poll is being run against several candidates vying to represent the 35th District (i.e. Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Prospect Heights, Bedford-Stuyvesant and Crown Heights) in the New York City Council. While some have opted to use that medium as a vehicle, as I indicated earlier this week - I strongly encourage you to take advantage of candidate forums, which will give you an opportunity to hear about the issues that matter most.
