It's good to take stock on Thanksgiving Day — that's what it's for after all — and people in Brooklyn are thankful for a lot this year.
Prospect Heights resident Soraya Sultan-Meer said she was thankful for Brooklyn Botanic Garden, "for always inspiring us to keep the community open, clean, tranquil and welcoming."
In Bed-Stuy, residents told us on Facebook that community institutions, be they local businesses or gathering places, were the things they were most thankful for.
Reader Danie Descoteaux said: "I'm thankful for the Bed-Stuy Y, where I always see happy children, and there are always so many wonderful community-oriented events going on, from learning about access to health care to classes on graphic design!"
Now's your chance to let us know what you're thankful for this year. Share with us in the comments!
