Local Photog's Picture Chosen For Brooklyn Tourism Postcard
Valery Rizzo's "The Brooklyn Grange Rooftoop Farm, The Brooklyn Navy Yard" has been chosen to be part of a new postcard set.
Fort Greene and Clinton Hill residents have long known and appreciated the hidden beauty of the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
Now, under Borough President Marty Markowitz's initiative, people from all corners of the world will get a chance to see that beauty, too.
Local photographer Valery Rizzo's "The Brooklyn Grange Rooftoop Farm, The Brooklyn Navy Yard" has been chosen to be part of a new Brooklyn Tourism postcard set.
The photo, which received an honorable mention in the "Mi Brooklyn" postcard competition, "will be part of a Postcard Set representing the borough of Brooklyn (and rooftop farming) to the world," Rizzo wrote on her website.
