Brooklyn Hospital Raises $1.3M Through Founders Ball Proceeds

Proceeds will fund the modernization of the hospital's emergency room.


The Brooklyn Hospital Center will soon see a major upgrade, as an upcoming gala to benefit the hospital has brought in more than $1.3 million. 

Proceeds from the Brooklyn Hospital Foundation's 2013 Founders Ball will go to the modernization of the hospital's emergency room. Entry to the ball has been sold out completely, with 840 tickets to attend the event sold. 

The ball, the first fundraising event to be held on the Barclays Center arena floor,  will take place Wed., June 12 at 6:30 p.m. 

The gala will also serve to honor various individuals considered instrumental in the community, including Forest City Ratner Companies President and CEO MaryAnne Gilmartin and Dr. Benson Yeh, the vice president, CMIO, Brooklyn Hospital.
