5 Things: WYATT, Making Music With Your Baby, Town Hall Meeting

What you need to know pre-coffee.

1.
Bucky presents: Bo DePena + Wyatt + Bucky Hayes @ The Way Station

WYATT is the new project of celebrated NYC singer/songwriter Maddy Wyatt. What began as the solo effort of Miss Wyatt has morphed into a collaborative adventure with brothers Paul and Alex Wyatt and multi-instrumentalist Dana Haynes. Since the release of their debut EP last summer, WYATT has toured all over the Southwest, played festivals from SXSW to CMJ, and earned kudos from the likes of NYC's The Deli Magazine, The L.A. Examiner, and TimeOutNewYork, who says their "quirky, lilting and unpretentious songs pack a jaunty punch."

2.
Crown Heights Town Hall Part 2

On March 23, more than 200 members of the community came together to meet their neighbors and talk about the part they wanted play in shaping the future of Crown Heights. On May 21, that conversation will be build on, widening the diversity of voices in the room, and making plans for how we will work together to advance the issue areas community members identified as most important to them.

3. Brooklyn Babies Love Music

Hey Brooklyn, come sing and play along to all of your little one's favorite songs! Focusing on rhythmic and melodic development, sound recognition and early motor skills all in a fun and engaging environment. Instrument play, movement activities, musical games, puppets, bubbles and a wide selection of songs to bring out your child's inner musician! Class length: 45 min. Available for children ages 18 months - 2 years old.

4. THE JUKEBOX: PROM

Everyone on the line-up performs something inspired by a song-be it stand-up, a story, or a written piece-then sings that song karaoke. Performers choose their own songs based on the theme for that month's show; each one is a type of playlist or mixtape. THE JUKEBOX is a comedy-karaoke hybrid, blending The Moth, Hot Tub, and Union Hall's own Karaoke Killed The Cat. It satiates the three founders' love of comedy, storytelling and life-changing karaoke.
