5 Things: District Leader Renee Collymore at the Parliament Democratic Club

1. Stomp to music.
Come to Dizzy's Fifth Avenue (230 5th Ave) for City Stomp Live tonight. Called the Best Place to Rock Out While Having Dinner by Time Out New York Kids, shows are free with a dinner reservation. Seating’s are at 5 and 6:30 p.m.; shows are at 5:45 and 6:45 p.m.

2. Participate in democracy. Don’t miss the Parliament Democratic Club Meeting tonight at 444 Clinton Avenue. District Leader Renee Collymore and The Parliament Democratic Club will host a “Meet the Candidates Forum” for the 35th Council District.

3. Listen to three bands. Head over to The Way Station (683 Washington Ave) to hear Samantha Rise Roberson + Arun Ramamurthy Trio + Ryan Dobby play. An old soul with a new sound, Philadelphia-based vocalist Samantha Rise Roberson brings rare artistic perspective and interpretation to live musical performance. From Billie Holliday to Bjork, Rise tastefully weaves together jazz, folk and contemporary styles crafting a unique fabric in her original music.

4. Get through Hump Day. Come to Bushbaby Bar and Lounge (1197 Fulton Street) for HUMP DAY BLUES PARTY. A DJ will be spinning all the blues you can use and you’ll enjoy drink specials and great food.

5. Move your car. Alternate side parking rules are in effect today
