Every second Sunday, Two Steps Down, the cozy Clinton Hill restaurant and bar celebrating its 44th year, features jazz vocalist Steve Cromity and his trio along with a special guest performer and an open-mic segment for undiscovered and seasoned talents. The format starts with Steve providing the first set at 6 PM, followed by a special guest, most recently jazz vocalist, TC III; saxophonist, Jeff King; and vocalist, Cynthia Holiday. This kind of variety has been welcomed, keeping jazz alive in Brooklyn. "The Open Mic is always exciting because you never know when a 'Jazz Idol' will emerge."
