SITE - Exhibition and Performance on African Diaspora and Identity and Community

“SITE Project” is a group exhibition  and contemporary performance event.


The exhibition features ten New York-based African diasporic, visual and time-based artists charged to respond to the theme/idea/concept of “site” through their own unique artistic processes.Curated by Whitney V. Hunter.

The "SITE Project” event will be performed by Whitney V. Hunter and the Whitney Hunter[MEDIUM] collective. The program features Hunter’s solo work, “da Travla,” accompanied by performer/vocalist Preach R Sun and the group work, SITE, set to a score of collected sounds from field recordings, Orisha music, contemporary blues and hip hop, and original text. Whitney Hunter[MEDIUM] collective performers include: Otis Donovan Herring, Whitney Hunter, Youthen Joseph, Ricarrdo Valentine and Andre M. Zachery. Performances are Nov. 2 and Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20, $15 for students with ID. For more information visit www.kumbletheater.org.
