Edward R. Murrow High School is announcing the dates for its fall and winter productions. For the fall of 2012, our theatrical productions will be Nunsense, which will be presented in the Joseph Papp Theater from November 14 -18 and Camelot, which will be presented in the Joseph Anzalone Theater from December 12-15.
Nunsense is a 1985 musical comedy about five of the 19 surviving Little Sisters of Hoboken, a one-time missionary order that ran a leper colony on an island south of France. The schedule for the Nunsense production is below:
- Wednesday, November 14th at 7 p.m.
- Thursday,November 15th at 7 p.m.
- Friday, November 16th at 8 p.m.
- Sunday, November 18th at 2p.m. and 8 p.m.
In addition, during the performances we will be collecting items for many of our students that have been displaced because of Hurricane Sandy. We are looking for donations of any of the below items:
-Toothpaste, shampoo & soap
-New packages of underwear & socks
-Warm coats of all sizes
-First aid supplies
If you would like to make a monetary donation for those in need please make the check out to ER Murrow Sunshine Fund and put in the memo line "Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund". All donations are tax deductible. Any donations will be greatly appreciated.
Murrow’s Theatre Program offers four annual major productions. Tickets for Nunsense are $15. For tickets, call (718) 258-9283 and ask for the box office. All performances will be held in the Papp Theater at Edward R. Murrow High School located at 1600 Avenue L.
