H E A L I N G S Art Exhibit

Thematically based, the H E A L I N G S exhibition will address and explore multiple aspects of evidence-based-art. The term encompasses a growing body of research, employing rigorous standards, that supports the assertion; art heals. The concept of healing art is referenced in art making practices as disparate as tantric and fractal art, prehistoric cave painting, Buddhist sand painting, African design patterns, and certain aspects of traditional landscape painting. In creating works for this exciting exhibition, artists are encouraged to explore the philosophies framing these practices as well as others.

We anticipate an extraordinarily powerful exhibit that will encompass a wide range of artistic viewpoints and approaches to art as a healing agency.  We envision subject matter that will provide a spanning context, expressing its visual voice in the various components of culture; politics, society, mental and physical health, environment, and spirituality.
