Here's our summary of what went down last week in the neighborhood.

It was another earth-shattering week in Fort Greene and Clinton Hill, and Patch was on the scene for it all Here’s our regular review of the big goings-on.

The week began with our final Black History Month tribute. We had a sit-down with the , the owners of F + S Tires at S. Oxford and Fulton streets. The brothers opened their shop back in the 1980s and endured many sketchy, violent years before Fulton became what it is today. Now, their prime location is in the crosshairs of developers, who see nothing but potential piles of cash where the Joseph’s building currently stands. But the Haitian brothers pledge they’re not going anywhere.

That same day John Rouse, our wildly popular Frugal Family columnist dropped another bomb on the neighborhood when he revealed his . Furious discussion ensued among our commentors — the best in Brooklyn, no doubt — and they all demanded that Rouse soon cover the best hot cocoa destinations in Fort Greene and Clinton Hill. The people have spoken.

Tuesday brought more news about the Pratt Station Post Office. After we began asking questions about another round of delays that had led to the post office not opening in February as previously announced, a postal service spokeswoman . We shall see.

That same day our real estate columnist published a photo gallery featuring a look inside of inside of an old firehouse. Now it’s on the market as an uber-luxurious condo. We can dream, can’t we?

On Wednesday we wrote about controversial new near the site of the Barclays Center. Residents are concerned about the noise that will come from the two-story bar, as well as the not-from-the-neighborhood clientele that the location could attract. Don’t be surprised if a conflict like this arises in Fort Greene sometime soon.
