The Early Word: Ingersoll Houses to Host Job Fair
Community center on Myrtle Avenue holds employee recruitment event.
1. New York City Housing Authority's Office of Resident Economic Empowerment and Sustainability, in connection with the Brooklyn Navy Yard, will hold a job fair for NYCHA residents on Thursday to connect potential employees with local businesses. Ingersoll Community Center, 177 Myrtle Ave. Feb. 23, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free.
2. One of Fort Greene's newest dance studios offers donation-based classes all day for youngsters 1-5 years old. Cumbe: Center For African and Diaspora Dance, 558 Fulton St. Daily.
3. LIFE, the newest landmark natural history series from Discovery Channel and the BBC, explores the adaptability and diversity of life on earth, revealing spectacular, bizarre and fascinating animal behavior. Audubon Center, Eastern Parkway and Flatbush Avenue. Noon to 3:30 p.m.
