The Early Word: Barclays Center Liquor License Hearing Tonight

Critics of late-night drinking plans expected to attend.

1. The specter of late-night alcohol sales, , is expected to ensure a well-attended public hearing on Barclays Center's later today. New York State Liquor Authority, 317 Lenox Ave. (Manhattan) 7 p.m.

2. The Fort Greene Park Conservancy presents , a series of eight free, fun concerts for youngsters and their caregivers this summer. This week Mil's Trills takes a bow. Fort Greene Park, Dekalb Avenue side (near the tennis courts). 10 a.m. Free.

3. continues with an outdoor screening of short films by Planet Brooklyn Short Films Collective—providing an eclectic mix of scenes and stories from the borough. Therapy Wine Bar, 364 Lewis Ave. 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Free.
