Sept. 30: BAMcafé Kicks Off
Rock the (opera) house with the first of a slate of performers scheduled for this weekend.
1. R&B sensation N'dambi, a Grammy-nominated singer (and Erykah Badu collaborator), will rock the house at BAMcafé Live. N'dambi goes on at 9 p.m., but arrive at 6 for happy hour.
2. Just around the corner from the opera house at the Harvey, check out , a celebration of the male physique’s beauty, power, and capacity for expression through traditional and contemporary modern dance.
3. And to cap a big Friday night on the boards, don't forget about Call Me Crazy: Diary of a Mad Social Worker, a one-woman, autobiographical show about an underpaid and overworked Helena D. Lewis. It's at LIU's Kumble Theater—tickets are available here.
