Celebrated author of "Waiting To Exhale" helps launch local author's latest effort.

1. Attend the launch of , "Who's Afraid of Post-Blackness?: What It Means to Be Black Now," which looks at African-American identity in the age of Obama. Reception will be held tonight at Greenlight Bookstore.

2. To commemorate Attica's 40th anniversary, BAMCinematek is hosting that look at the infamous 1970s prison riots. After the 6:50 p.m. screeening of each film there will be discussions.
