The New York City Police Department announced street closures and expected traffic delays for Dec. 14-18.
Beginning Fri. Dec. 14 until Tues., Dec. 18 from 10 p.m.-5 a.m., there will be intermittent closures of the northbound and southbound lanes of West Street from Canal Street to Chambers Street, in preparation for the transportation of the Spire component for the World Trade Center 1 tower.
Traffic resources have been allocated to key locations to detour the driving public from the area.
The New York City Department of Transportation has announced the following dates as Gridlock Alert Days for the upcoming holiday season:
- Friday, December 14th
- Wednesday, December 19th
- Thursday, December 20th
- Friday, December 21st
