[VIDEO] Keep Those Umbrellas Handy: Weather Expected to Remain Damp

For anyone hoping to throw those rain boots back in the closet, don't hold your breath: the rest of the week is looking like a damp one.

For anyone hoping to throw those rain boots back in the closet, don't hold your breath: the rest of the week is looking like a wet one. 

The National Weather Service reports showers in the Fort Greene and Clinton Hill area are likely this afternoon, and a thunderstorm might make its way to the area before 4 p.m.

After 4 p.m.? Well, it's more of the same. The day will continue to be a cloudy one, with a high near 66 degrees. Between a tenth and quarter of an inch of rainfall in total is expected, unless those thunderstorms roll in, which could possibly bring higher amounts. 

There's a chance the end of the work week will bring a sunny reprieve, but there is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon. It will be mostly sunny, with a high near 76 degrees.  Keep those umbrellas handy, as Friday night into Saturday morning will likely bring showers and thunderstorms, mainly after midnight. It will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 62 degrees. 

On Saturday, showers are likely, with a possibility of a thunderstorm. No matter the amount of rainfall, it will be cloudy with a high near 75 degrees. Saturday night will bring more of the same, as showers and thunderstorms are possible for the cloudy evening. Temperatures will dip into the low 50's.

Finally on Sunday, expect a reprieve as the day will be partly sunny with a high near 67 degrees. Sunday Night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 47 degrees.
