June 7: Bring On The Beer

In some quarters, it may be way too early to even mention beer... but here goes:

As we start out the second day of the second workweek after Memorial Day, be sure to put the on your to-do list. Activities on tap for this evening include beer tasting (of course!), cheese and homemade jerky eating and funny hats.

1. 88th Precinct police got a scare late Monday night as one of their own while on the beat in Fort Greene.

2. Later this a.m., Councilman Leticia James will hold a press conference with community members celebrating the reopening of F+S Tires on Fulton, which was by the city Buildings Department in April after decades of being in business. 

3. Greenlight Bookstore hosts an evening with nonprofit tonight. 

4. Brooklyn LGBT Pride Week has begun. Check out our of all the borough activities going down this week.
