July 21: A Fallen Councilman's Legacy

Showing of film honoring James E. Davis takes place in Fort Greene Park this evening.

The organizers of on the life and times of James E. Davis seemed to have one goal in mind: Making sure that the of the former Fort Greene councilman was not in vain. 

"Murder At City Hall: Councilman James E. Davis' Story," which traces the events leading up to Davis' death at the hands of a gunman in July 2003, will take place at 6 p.m. tonight at the corner of Myrtle Avenue and Washington Park.

The event, which includes food, music and plenty of opportunities for reflection, is open to the entire family.
