Grab and Go! Where to Take the Kids This Weekend

Our local picks for fun in and out of the sun this weekend.

This week we've got five great family picks that all involve something kids definitely know how to do - make some noise!! So spare your neighbors having to listen to the kids going stir crazy in your apartment, take the family out, and let's get loud!

Free Friday Night Jam: Soul Understated

What? The Brooklyn Children's Museum’s rooftop heats up the summer once again with its Free Friday Family Jam series! The weekly event includes story programs followed by specially themed pre-show performances and then a mainstage performance. This week Soul Understated headlines, an ensemble known for combining soul, jazz, funk and gospel, plus scat and exotic vocals from Ms. Poole "like the final spices in an excellent gumbo.”
