Grab and Go! Here Are Our Family Picks This Week

Our top local choices for the final few February days.

We've made it to the last weekend in February! And though the days of lounging in the park from dawn to dusk aren't quite here yet — and now that I think about it, lounging isn't exactly how I'd describe a day in the park with my toddler, anyway — at least there's some appealing, and free, ways to celebrate surviving the last couple of months.

COMMUNITY STOP 'N' SWAP

What? Do you like free things? Do you care about the environment? Do you like your community? Is your apartment full of stuff you don't use? Well then, head on over to MS113 gym for a recycling and waste-prevention event sponsored by the not-for-profit Grow NYC. You can donate anything you're ready to part with, get some new stuff for free, interact with your community, and teach your kids the value of reusing and recycling, all in one afternoon!
