GQ Dubs Brooklyn “Coolest City”
Sure, we're not an actual city, but we beat out Portland.
GQ magazine has dubbed Brooklyn the “Coolest City on the Planet” in their November issue. No matter that Brooklyn is technically a borough of a city, it’s still an honor to be recognized. The magazine even goes so far to say that you don’t even have to go into Manhattan anymore to enjoy a good trip to New York, and calls Brooklyn “the place where everything's happening before it's happening.”
The magazine has published an “eater’s guide” to Brooklyn on their website, where they’ve given props to local establishments like Mile End in Boerum Hill, Frankies, Char No. 4, Lucali and Seersucker in Carroll Gardens, Henry Public in Cobble Hill, Roman’s in Fort Greene and Café Grumpy in Park Slope.
