Erica Doyle, Bernice McFadden, Rick Moody, and Jon Sands at this year's installment of the Fort Greene Park Summer Literary Festival. Join the authors afterwards at Greenlight Bookstore for music, mingling, refreshments, and signings by the featured Festival authors. Walt Whitman's ghost is rumored to be making an appearance.

Tillie's Open Mike

What? Fort Greene's got talent! Every Thursday local artist and musician Mike Harris lights up this Fort Greene institution with his open mic night for the borough's hipster Susan Boyles. Come unleash that rendition of Wing Beneath My Wings you've been perfecting - or just sip your chai latte and judge.

Food Truck Rally

What? Now here's a monster truck rally even a Brooklynite can love. The Prospect Park Alliance and NYC Food Truck Associations serve up a smorgasbord of culinary cruisers offering everything from souvlaki to lobster, tacos to cherry slushies. Plus live music from the Jack Lords Orchestra and a raffle with a chance to win an iPad. Gentlemen, start your Cuisinarts!
