Our weekly roundup of things to do.

Wondering what to do this weekend? Well, there’s no reason to leave the neighborhood, that’s for sure. Here’s our run-down of things going down this weekend.

 1. Book Talk with a Big Shot!

Where: , 686 Fulton Street at S. Portland Avenue on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: Author Téa Obreht — who was named one of the best fiction writers under 40 by the New Yorker — will read from her new book, “The Tiger’s Wife.” The book is her first, and has been lauded by critics. The Washington Post wrote, “It's a novel of enormous ambitions that manages in its modest length to contain the conflicts between Christians and Muslims, Turks and Ottomans, science and superstition.”

Where: Fulton Street between Rockwell Place and Classon Avenue on Friday

Why Go: Support local businesses and shop along Fulton Street on Friday. An assortment of stores will be offering various discounts and specials as part of a monthly street-wide promotion. The will be giving a free tasting of homemade corned beef from 6 to 8 p.m. will serve up an extended happy hour. And will host a musician playing traditional African music. Where: The , 651 Fulton Street at Rockwell Place on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: Geoffrey Rush’s performance in “Madman” has been lauded by critics, and this weekend marks your last chance to see this tour de force. Our reviewer called it an “exhilaratingly charismatic, physical performance.”

Price: Varies. Call 718-636-4100 for info. UPDATE: We hear it's sold out, so you'll have to snoop around online for secondhand tickets.

4. The Brooklyn Flea

Where: 1 Hanson Place Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Why Go: The flea will only be in the spectacular ground floor of the Williamsburgh Bank building for a few more weeks, so go check out the space while you can. Last week we picked up a pair of records and munched on a crack pie from Momofuku’s Milk Bar, which was as addictive as advertised. It's not a bad place to , either.

Price: Free to enter, but a lot of the items up for sale are a bit pricey.

5. Brooklyn Baby Expo

Where: The Toren Penthouse, 150 Myrtle Avenue at Flatbush Avenue on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: As our parenting columnist wisely noted, this expo is expected to put Park Slopes’ baby culture to shame. All things infant will be on display, and you can enjoy the great views from the top of Toren, to boot.

Price: $35 per ticket or $60 for two tickets. Tickets at the door are $45 each. (All activities, seminar and demos included in admission price.) Parking free, but stroller space limited.
