Fort Greene-Clinton Hill Week In Review

Even though the heat may slow things down, the news never stops.

To summarize the past week, all one needs are two words: hot and muggy. Sure there were plenty of other happenings—some good, some not-so-good—but mostly things took a backseat to staying cool, somehow. 

For many that meant taking in some cool tunes at the in Fort Greene Park. For others, it was splashing around one of the that act as lifesavers for many a parent across the borough. 

So it is: even though summer may slow us down, the news never stops. Here are some of the non-heat related headlines taking place in and around our neighborhood:

Even though Macy's, in its infinite wisdom, decided to launch its firework show from the Hudson River again this year, that didn't mean there still weren't some really awesome things to do in Brooklyn this July 4.
