CB2 To Hold Health and Economic Development Meetings Next Week

Board business doesn't take a break for the holidays.

Next week, Community Board 2 will hold committee meetings on a full slate of issues affecting the neighborhoods of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.

First up on Tuesday will be the Economic Development and Job Creation Committee, which will meet at 's Library Learning Room Center Room 515 at 6 p.m. 

At the meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to meet and ask questions of Ryan Grew, the new business services manager for the MetroTech Business Improvement District.

And while this week's news that enrolled in a local community group's job apprenticeship program are employed at the Atlantic Yards site isn't on the committee's official agenda—there's a good chance that the ongoing issue will make for some interesting conversation.

On Wednesday at 6 p.m., CB2's Health, Environment and Social Services Committee will hold its last meeting of 2011 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Infusion Center, 557 Atlantic Ave., between Third and Fourth avenues.

Among the Fort Greene-Clinton Hill establishments up for consideration for liquor licenses will be , 294 Grand Ave. (New Restaurant Wine); , 448 Myrtle Ave. (New On-Premises); and Autour de Monde, 860 Fulton St. (Renewal On-Premises).

The Parks Committee meeting has been rescheduled to Monday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. at St. Francis College's Callahan Center.
