Brooklyn Brewery To Team Up With Brooklyn Flea For 'SmorgasBrewery'

Weekly food fest unites some the borough's best eats with some choice hops.

Like peanut butter and jelly, camembert cheese and a glass of Cab Sauv or Borough President Marty Markowitz and "fuhgettaboutit"—some things just belong together.

So it's with the requisite amount of glee that we greet news from Eater NY that Brooklyn Brewery and the folks behind the plan to again join forces.

Called SmorgasBrewery, the food fest is scheduled to begin Dec. 4 on Sundays through March 2012 at Brewery's Tasting Room on N. 11th Street in Williamsburg from noon to 5 p.m., with several Brooklyn Flea foodsellers providing the eats.

Brooklyn Brewery confirmed the news on its blog, calling the weekly food and beer fest a "reincarnation" of SmorgasBurg.

"Needless to say, we are quite excited to welcome the local artisans into our home," the entry read.
