Broken Angel Homeowner's Eviction Postponed
Arthur Wood, 82, has been allowed to remain in the Clinton Hill icon until March 31.
Those who were dissapointed to learn the Brooklyn Angel home's owner, 82-year-old artist Arthur Wood, had lost his battle to reclaim the iconic Clinton Hill building as his own, can breathe a temporary, collective sigh of relief: his March 15 eviction has been postponed.
The Brooklyn Housing Court's decision to postpone the eviction to March 31 came with no explanation, but Wood welcomed the stay.

“This gives me time to keep fighting,” Wood told the New York Daily News.
Friday afternoon, around 100 or so supporters gathered at Broken Angel to bid farewell to the memorable 4 Downing St., which Wood purchased in 1979 with his late wife, Cynthia.

Wood has been fighting to remain in his home, which he adorned with glass and mirorrs and made into one of the most unique gems in all of New York, since a foreclosure last year.
"There's no recourse for an elderly senior citizen to get any justice," Wood told Patch. "They're taking [more than] 30 years, and they're going to throw me out on the street with nothing."
