SUV Careens into Apartment
An out of control SUV slammed into an apartment building at Washington Avenue and Eastern Parkway on Wednesday, injuring seven people including three cops. The 78-unit building near the Brooklyn Museum was left with a shattered window and damage to its exterior. Locals saw the wreck as yet another example of an exceptionally dangerous intersection.

Funeral for a Fallen Police Officer
A cop from the 84th Precinct killed in the line of duty was laid to rest in a touching ceremony in Long Island on Friday. Officer Alain Schaberger was allegedly pushed over a railing while responding to a domestic dispute call in Boerum Hill. The suspect, George Villanueva, who has a lengthy arrest record, is in custody. Schaberger, 42, was to marry his fiancée this summer.
