5 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW TODAY: Pick Up A Cheap Tree For A Good Cause
Non-profit organization Teen Challenge Inc will be selling trees for charity today.
1. Pick up a cheap tree for a good cause starting at noon today at at 444 Clinton Ave between Gates Avenue and Greene Avenue. Trees cost a suggested donation of $35-$50 and proceeds go to Teen Challenge, a non-profit organization offering a variety of programs for neglected youths.
2. In case you missed it, three federal and local organizations have introduced a program to Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, and Bed-Stuy in order to assist first time homeowners in buying foreclosed properties. The program, called , will dole out up to $80,000 in forgivable loans to first time homeowners who agree to attend a series of counseling workshops as well as agree to live in the neighborhood for 15 years or more.
3. The Parks Committee of Community Board 2 will be meeting today at 6 p.m. at St. Francis College’s Callahan Center.

4. at Dekalb Market today from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dekalb Market is located on Flatbush Ave Ext. and Willoughby Street. He will also be at Kings Plaza, on Flatbush Avenue and Avenue U, today from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
5. All alternate side parking rules are in effect today.
