[UPDATE] The Early Word: General Greene to Reopen

Restaurant closed by Health Dept. after failed inspection last Saturday.

Update, 1:30 p.m.: The General Greene remained closed Tuesday afternoon. According to a source, a representative from DOH is currently conducting a site inspection.

Online records at DOH had GG racking up 72 violation points for what it called "unsanitary conditions" including evidence of mice, cold food items being stored at temperatures above 41 degrees Fahrenheit and improperly sanitized utensils. That is pretty gross about General Greene. Makes ya think twice about eating there in the future.
