Target Coming to Fulton Mall, Century 21 Maybe

Big stores on tap for coming CityPoint mega-development.

Target has recently signed a lease for space in the new CityPoint project on Fulton Street, and discount fashion retailer Century 21 is expected to follow suit, according to the New York Post.

The report says that Target made a deal for a 50,000-square-feet space in the building, and sources say a lease has been sent to Century 21 for a 100,000-square-foot spread.

Brownstoner notes that the first phase of CityPoint only includes 50,000-square-feet, so the Century 21 deal may come through at a later date.

A report last week on the fate of the Fulton Mall in the New York Observer had hinted that a Target may be coming to CityPoint (which is slated to open in the first half of next year).

The new CityPoint Target will be only about a half-mile away from the always-busy Target at Atlantic Center Mall.
