Local Small Biz Sales This Weekend
Forget the chain stores this weekend, and put your money back into your neighborhood.
If you’re at home reading this, chances are you’ve forgone the that involve camping out in front of a store for 10 hours (or maybe you just survived fighting over the last iPad at the store). If you still like getting a good deal, but prefer keeping your sanity in tact, here are some local small businesses that are having great sales this weekend:
- Designer boutique Stuart and Wright, in Fort Greene, is offering 15 percent in store and online this weekend (code: blackweekend), plus free shipping. On Saturday, their special hours are noon to 9 p.m., and they will also offer free gift wrapping
- Hip girls boutique Thistle and Clover, in Fort Greene, will take 30% off labels like Trovata, Dace and Ace & Jig. On Saturday, the shop will offer an extra 10% off all sale items as part of Small Business Saturday.

- Vintage and handmade shop Mongo, in Cobble Hill, is taking 20 percent off all apparel purchases of $50 or more, and 20 percent off all purchases of $100 or more.
- , in Bed-Stuy, is offering 30-70 percent off of everything in the store this weekend. On Friday, they are open until 7 p.m.

If you want to support small businesses, but maybe don’t want to change out of your warm pajamas, here are a few online shopping options:
- Acorn Toy Shop, in Boreum Hill, has markdowns on baby clothes. Check them out here.
- Bump Brooklyn, in Prospect Heights, has a ton of markdowns on maternity dresses online.
- By Brooklyn, in Cobble Hill, who only sells merchandise made in Brooklyn, has a sale on t-shirts and baby blankets here.

- Annie’s Blue Ribbon General Store in Boerum Hill will give out Naughty or Nice holiday pins on Saturday. Brokelyn features their Napkin Sketchbooks ($6.95), Candy Cane Pop Rock ($1.25) and Chocolate Coal ($2.50).
