Hey Fort Greene, You Want An Apple Store?

Tech giant reportedly weighing possible Brooklyn retail locations.

Could Fort Greene be getting a Genius Bar to go with the coffee and alcohol varieties?

According to a report on The Real Deal, Apple is weighing two neighborhoods to plant their first Brooklyn location: Fort Greene, near BAM, and Williamsburg.

The website reported late last week that the California-based iPad-slinger was iBalling a proposed building at 286 Ashland Place near the Barclays Center as a possible retail spot.

Given Fort Greene's fear of all national chains — you guys had a collective fit when there was an incoming Starbucks rumor that proved false — the Apple Store is probably not welcome news either. Or is it? After all, with a Fort Greene Apple Store, you won't have to camp out in Manhattan every year when they release a new iPhone.
