Greene Grape Provisions Announces Expansion

Fort Greene artisan grocery doubles in size.

Greene Grape Provisions, the artisan grocery that has charmed Brooklyn since 2008, is getting a big boost in floor space, according to owner Amy Bennett.

The Greene Grape founder and owner said the company's grocery, which has done very well for itself since opening five years ago, will expand and move next to its sister shop on Fulton Street this month.

The new shop will be twice the size of the old space, and located next door to the current Greene Grape location at 767-769 Fulton Street.

"Considering that we opened Provisions in the middle of a recession, our growth has been amazing and is entirely attributed to the talents of the team we have working at The Grape," said owner Amy Bennett. "Their passion for quality food, sustainable and local sourcing and sharing their knowledge on how to cook using fresh quality healthy ingredients really shines through to the customer."

The new shop will host a ribbon cutting with Brooklyn officials including Borough President Marty Markowitz and Public Advocate-elect Letitia James on Friday, Nov. 15 at 6 p.m.
