Feline Missing In Suspected "Catnapping" Found

Fort Greene pet store employees report that Midnight is back home and doing well after days on the lam.

Midnight the cat is back, safe and sound.

The official mascot of was found by a neighbor and returned to the store on Dekalb Avenue in Fort Greene last Thursday, according to employee Trina Stanton.

Employees frantically searched for the feline after in a suspected catnapping.

The neighbor found Midnight trapped in the roof of a basement hungry, a little bit traumatized, but in good health, according to Stanton.

"He's here resting right now," she said. "We're really glad to have him back home."

The neighbor did not collect the $500 reward, according to Stanton.

All told, Midnight was M.I.A. for a total of 14 days—a much different scenario than that experienced by Willow, a cat recently found in NYC five years after she went missing from her home in Colorado, nearly 1,800 miles away.
