Vampires, Werewolves and Zombies, Oh My!

Ghoulish characters invade Marriott in Downtown Brooklyn to celebrate cult horror TV series this weekend.

Halloween is coming a bit early to Downtown Brooklyn. 

According to a post in McBrooklyn, the annual Dark Shadows Festival will take place at the New York Marriott on Adams Street this weekend. 

The slate of activities includes performances, a gala banquet and an awards ceremony—all geared towards loyal fans of the gothic soap opera, "Dark Shadows," which ran from 1966 to 1971 on ABC.

A remake of the show directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp will hit the big screen in May 2012.
