The Early Word: BAM Releases Crossing Brooklyn Ferry Lineup
Three-day music and film festival launches inaugural year in May.
1. The wait is over. Weeks after announced the formation of a new three-day music and film festival, the organizers of solidified their final lineup of bands. So without further ado, here's the playlist for this brainchild of rockers Aaron and Bryce Dessner:
May 3: The Walkmen; Sharon Van Etten
May 4: St. Vincent; The Antlers
May 5: Beirut; Atlas Sound
2. The New York Metropolitan chapter of the American Association of Blacks In Energy is offering three $2,000 scholarships for students attending four-year colleges. The chapter will also award a Premiere Award of $5,000 to the most deserving candidate. Applications are available here and should be sent no later than March 2.
