Sept. 7: Art After 9/11

Greenlight Bookstore hosts night of poetry inspired by tragedy.

1. Brooklyn publisher Melville House Press was created 10 years ago in the wake of 9/11 to collect the poetry that arose after the terrorist attacks. at Greenlight Bookstore will feature works by some of the poets, including Miranda Beeson, Star Black, Patricia Spears Jones, Carter Ratcliff, Dennis Nurske and Lewis Warsh. 

2. Community Board 2 members will be joined by a representative of the city Department of Homeless Services to discuss concerns about the operation of the Auburn Family Shelter at a meeting of CB2's tonight.
