Sept. 16: "Hot Chocolate" Hits the Stage

Alliance of Resident Theaters on S. Oxford presents two nights of sketch comedy.

1. Brooklyn-based sketch comedy group American Candy presents "," featuring a group of talented black female comedians, along with guest actor Victor Williams ("The King of Queens") for a night of singing, skits and pop culture parodies. Performances tonight and Saturday night at 8 p.m.

2. Help Wanted: From the office of Councilwoman Letitia James, D-Brooklyn, comes word of two job opportunities. The first is a training session for cable installing positions. The second is for an experienced elevator mechanic.

3. Attention all artists—help beautify one of the more dreary parts of our neighborhood by volunteering to help Ellie Balk and the folks at Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership paint a mural under the BQE.
