Internationally acclaimed illustrator Dan Yaccarino pairs up with first-time author Ame Dyckman to create the story of Boy and Bot, who meet in the woods and instantly make friends. But when Bot gets switched off, Boy thinks he's sick, and the usual remedies—applesauce, reading a story—don't help.

When Bot powers on and finds his friend asleep, he tries all of his remedies: oil, reading an instruction manual. Nothing revives the malfunctioning Boy! Can the Inventor help fix him?
