Reminder: Fabulous Fund Raising for Fort Greene SNAP on May 14th

Fort Greene Snap  will host a fund raising event from 1pm to 8pm on Saturday May 14, 2011 at St Joseph’s College in Brooklyn, NY – 245 Clinton Avenue between Willoughby and DeKalb Avenue.

Tickets are $20 and all proceeds will go to SNAP, whose mission is to provide low and moderate income residents, in and near Fort Greene, with access to gain employment, further education, and quality health care by offering programs in technology, entrepreneurship and life skills.

You can make your donation at the door, come by the SNAP office at 324 Myrtle Ave to buy your ticket, or go to http://fortgreenesnap.org and click on the blinking donation button on the right side of this page to donate using a credit or debit card.

The event benefits the community by providing quality goods and services from local vendors and merchants.

The event will feature  well known local designers, exclusive, one of a kind items, local cuisine, musicians and bands and neighborhood vendors and merchants.  Organizers of the event hope to raise $10,000 and will gladly accept donations of any size for those who will not be able to attend the event.
