Poets at the Top of Fort Greene Park: A Celebration of National Poetry Month

Recite your own words; read the poetry and prose of writers known and unknown; create new works and share them with the audience. “Poets at the Top of Fort Greene Park” is an informal, hour-long gathering of people who love writing and people who love hearing writers speak. Open to all, everyone is invited. Speak loudly, these events are unamplified!

Hosted by Greg Trupiano, Artistic Director of The Walt Whitman Project.

Special guests and themes include:
Saturday, April 9 – Anne Whitehouse, poet
Saturday, April 16 – poems of urban life
Saturday, April 23 – poems of nature
Saturday, April 30 – Angeli Rasbury, poet, and her group of pre-teen and teenage writers
