On the Prison Ship Jersey- Tour

Fort Greene Park Conservancy, Neighbor

Join The Conservancy for an informative walking tour of Fort Greene Park and the Prison Ship Martyrs Monument.  David Swain and The Walt Whitman Project Artistic Director Greg Trupiano will lead an informative tour and discussion focusing on the park, its role in the American Revolution and Civil War, the Wallabout Martyrs and the monument dedicated to their memory. Musical selections will include settings of Whitman poems sung by Nicole Mitchell, contralto and Cameron Smith, tenor.
