In what documentarian Ken Burns called “an essential study,” DEFORCE reveals the present-day challenges facing the city of Detroit. Formerly the engine of America, Detroit’s illustrious past has long faded, due largely in part to the collapse of the auto industry. This documentary provides insight and commentary on the city’s long history of political oppression and how similar challenges are affecting many other cities across the US.
