Aspiring chef Molly Birnbaum was about to enter the prestigious Culinary Institute of America when a car accident destroyed her sense of smell, critical for any chef. Birnbaum shares her story about regaining her sense of smell, in a talk with her editor and Fort Greene resident Matt Weiland.. Audience members will also participate in a “smell test” that shows the centrality to sense of smell to enjoying food.
