An incisive chronicler of Haitian and West Indian experience, Edwidge Danticat is the author of several books, including Breath, Eyes, Memory; the National Book Award finalist Krik? Krak!The Farming of Bones, an American Book Award winner; and several works for young adults. She has edited numerous essay and poetry collections, such as The Butterfly’s Way: Voices from the Haitian Dyaspora in the United StatesHaiti Noir, and The Best American Essays 2011. Danticat’s memoir, Brother, I’m Dying, was a 2007 National Book Award finalist. Her most recent work is the essay collection Create Dangerously.
